The Nile Basin is a geographical and hydrological area in northeastern Africa that encompasses the entire drainage basin of the Nile River. This region is of significant importance due to its rich biodiversity, fertile lands for agriculture, and historical and cultural significance. Research in the Nile Basin often focuses on water resource management, including issues related to water availability, irrigation, and hydropower development. This research also addresses challenges such as water pollution, climate change impacts, and conflicts over water sharing among the 10 countries that share the Nile Basin. Additionally, studies in the Nile Basin explore the ecological impacts of human activities, such as deforestation and urbanization, on the river and its surrounding ecosystems. This research aims to promote sustainable development practices and improve the overall health and resilience of the Nile Basin.
